moral sense

"Miyazaki-like."

submission: moral sense

Similar to "A Bamboo Hat," this simple animation accurately depicts the moral compass of the generations. The grass, soundtrack, and human interaction with nature is almost Hayao Miyazaki-like.

A bamboo hat

"Cute flash that gives impact without words."

submission: A bamboo hat
date: May 31, 2009

A cute animation, with a simple style and color palette, that leaves an impact. It covers the topic of greed, and the effect of giving to someone who does not deserve it.

The sound effects suffer from some syncing issues. The ending music is pleasing to the ear and soulful, and perhaps better suited to the main part of the animation than the simple strings the author is currently using.

The end of robbie

"Confused..."

I am confused. What was the purpose of this flash?

Is Robbie someone you made up?

Why a random stabbing and beheading?

Star Stealing Girl CC

"Beautiful"

date: October 9, 2008

Quite soothing remix of the song from Radical Dreamers (and later Chrono Cross). I remember hearing this in the game for the first time, and falling in love with it. It was easily the best song in RD, used at points of acceptance and sadness.

I think the only awkward inclusion is the synthesized part about halfway through, but this does fit the "star" theme, and I am biased towards the piano.

Well done!

Author's Response:

I never got to experience radical dreamers unfortunately. And yes, I had trouble finding a sound that would give a person's voice justice. I guess I didn't find the best sound for that. Thanks for the review.
